It all started from a class…

In March 2023, CEO Dan Aliber pitched an idea 💡 to a classroom filled with first-year full-time Georgetown MBAs 👩‍🎓: a dating app 💌 with a twist — an app that aligns incentives with daters through a flipped business model. The app would only earn revenue 💲 if matches dined at partner restaurants and did not monetize the user experience through a la cart purchases typical of the industry.

From that idea, COO Jack Misko and CMO Marian Asuncion joined Dan 🤝 and worked on it throughout the duration of the class. They had some initial traction from the class, but needed to actually build it which led CTO Rishi Sharma 👨‍💻 to join in the Fall of 2023 to bring amari’s first prototype to life.

Fast forward ⏩️ to today, our team of four 4️⃣ has been researching 🔍️ , interviewing 📞 , brainstorming 🧠 , and designing 🧵 our app to refocus on intentional dating. And we’re almost ready to show you 👀 … later this year.
